It gives me great pleasure to send my best wishes to Buddha's Light International Association of Victoria and everyone enjoying the marvellous Buddha's Day and Multicultural Festival.

Our State enjoys a strong reputation for respecting and celebrating cultural diversity and it is through festivals such as this that Victorians from all backgrounds can experience and share in our rich multicultural and multifaith heritage.

On behalf of the Victorian Multicultural Commission, I would like to commend the Buddha's Light International Association of Victoria for organising this event.  The Festival is a fine example of showing pride in, and sharing, one's cultural heritage.

I wish the organisers much success and thank you for giving all Victorians the opportunity to appreciate the depth and richness of Buddhist traditions.

I wish everyone attending a most enjoyable festival.
