Federation Square has strived to become the cultural and community heart of Melbourne, a place of gathering and harmony, a place where the diverse multicultural landscape of greater Victoria is expressed and all Victorians feel comfortable and encouraged to gather and express themselves and their culture.

At Federation Square, we have greatly enjoyed the long standing partnership with Buddha's Light International Association of Victoria and Fo Guang Shan Melbourne, the first community group to hold a festival in the Square, and are looking forward to their eighth celebration here.

The Buddha's Day and Multicultural Festival offers a great opportunity for the broader community to come together and learn about a different culture and way of life.  The Festival embraces all parts of Fed Square and truly epitomises what a great event should be.

We are delighted that the Buddha’s Day and Multicultural Festival has found its home at Federation Square.
