Federation Square

Federation Square has become the cultural and community heart of Melbourne, a place of gathering and harmony, a place where the diverse multicultural landscape of greater Victoria is represented and all Victorians feel comfortable expressing themselves and their culture.

At Federation Square, we have greatly enjoyed the long standing partnership with Buddha’s Light International Association of Victoria and Fo Guang Shan Melbourne.  This was the first community group to hold a festival in the Square, and we are looking forward to their ninth celebration.

Celebrating the importance of tolerance and peace, the Buddha’s Day and Multicultural Festival offers a great opportunity for the broader community to come together and learn about a different culture and to share in the joy of this event with their families and friends. The Festival embraces all parts of Fed Square and truly epitomises what a great event should be.
