Compassion teaches us not to kill. Compassion paves the way for respecting the right for all creatures great and small to live. Buddhists choose to become vegetarian out of respect for all life and to observe the First Buddhist Precept of no killing. Vegetarianism is also consistent with the Buddhist concepts of inter-relatedness and rebirth. It also has a greater impact on ensuring the sustainability of mother Earth and the health of the human race.
Whatever your motivation may be, we invite you to explore a way to be kind to others, to yourself, as well as to mother Earth; through healthy eating, the vegetarian way.
